Festivals continue throughout the year, with the main festival for Oristano - La Sartiglia Carnival held on the last Sunday in February (and the following Thursday), Sardinia's Day on 28 April, the festival of the island's patron saint, Saint Efisio 1-4 May, the pasta festival in August in Solanas, Ferr' Agosta, which is held in August on the beaches and of course the spectacular bare-foot race from Cabras to San Salvatore in the first week of September.
All regions have their own festivities and you will find numerous other religious and traditional festivities throughout the year.
