We will post a tailor-made information pack to you once you have placed a booking with us. This document contains a lot of our local knowledge, which has been built up over the last thirty- five years. We also provide a folder in the apartments with places to visit, places to eat, events, festivals and directions to beaches, shops etc.
Oristano may be Sardinia’s smallest province, but it boasts some of the most dramatic and untouched scenery on the island, vast lagoons with flocks of pink flamingos, Roman ruins and Romanesque churches. At the same time you are never far from its enchanting coasts, whose highlights include the cliffs of Sinis, the pristine waters of the white quartz beach of Mari Ermi and the amazing Sahara like dunes of Torre dei Corsari.
As a holiday destination Cabras will appeal to families and couples. The town has a relaxed atmosphere and is convenient for local attractions such as Tharros, San Salvatore, Nuraghe Losa to name a few. Oristano is a fascinating medieval town and the historical centre is worth visiting as are the local shops. If you hire a car, Cagliari makes an interesting day out as does Neptunes caves in Alghero.
The Sinis peninsular is full of interesting beaches and we will send you a guide to our top beaches in the area, along with descriptions of which user groups they best suit. The beach closest to the apartments is Torregrande and this town is a must; it offers entertainment in the evening and a relaxed holiday atmosphere in the day.
Because tourism has been controlled in this part of Sardinia (there are very few hotels) the area remains unspoilt. Agriculture is an important local business with globe artichokes and (enormous) watermelon in plentiful supply!
