Frequently asked questions

1) How can I find out whether the apartments are available?
Go to our availability page and click on the link to View booking calendar. Look at the dates you require, if the apartments are booked it will say 'Mimosa' or 'Oleandra' apartments are booked.

2) Which apartment should I choose?
Mimosa is a ground floor apartment and Oleandra is a first floor apartment. Both sleep up to 4 people plus a cot. We advise that people who find stairs difficult or those with young children may prefer Mimosa.
The main difference between the two is that Mimosa has a small patio and Oleandra has a relaxing balcony.

3) How do I book?
Visit our booking page and fill out the booking form. This will automatically email us and we will contact you asap about your booking to arrange confirmation and payment. Please note that provisional bookings are made for seven days and if we are unable to contact you within this time the booking will lapse.

4) How can I pay?
Currently we accept cheque or direct money transfer.

5) I'm not sure where to fly from, which airport is best?
Please ask us; we spend a lot of time looking at the routes to Sardinia and may be able to offer advice.

6) Do they speak English in Sardinia?
English is taught in Sardinia but you should expect to know a few basics in Italian to get by. At the very least 'please', 'thank you' and 'I don't understand!'.
We will provide you with a good amount of local information in English so you will have an advantage. Tourists from the UK have not yet discovered this part of Sardinia (it is very popular with mainland Italians) so you should not expect to talk to everyone in English and be understood. This said, Sardinians are very helpful people and very courteous and will try and help you as much as possible. They are also extremely forgiving and will understand you if you try and ask for things with only a few words of the language.

7) What sort of temperatures should we expect?
The following are average (mean) temperatures. These are only a guideline.

8) We are travelling with a baby, how much stuff do we have to bring?
Each apartment has a cot and highchair. There are sheets and blankets for the cot provided. There is a microwave but we do not provide sterilization equipment. The Iper Standa hypermarket sells all the baby consumables you will need (nappies, formula milk etc). Plasmon is an Italian baby food make and provides good quality jars of food plus 'pastina' baby pasta and rice.
