Yoga for Preganancy - 'Nurturing you and your baby'

Our weekly classes are taught by Helena del Pino, British Wheel of Yoga Advanced Teacher and KHYF Teacher. Helena’s background is in yoga for health and she has been specialising in yoga for pregnancy for 10 years having obtained a specialist qualification in 1998.

Classes are designed to help:

promote restful sleep balance the emotions
boost energy prepare body and mind for labour
support good posture improve concentration
relieve aches and pains increase bonding

Class sizes are small (maximum 10-12 participants) so that each woman is able to benefit from individual attention from the teacher. Women are able to share experiences and often they make supportive friendships for new motherhood.

Pregnancy yoga may be practised after 14 weeks (or the dating scan, whichever is later) up until delivery. If you have any doubts about your health in pregnancy please ask your midwife for advice.

The pregnancy yoga class is held on a Tuesday from 12.15-1.30pm. (Individual tuition is also offered for those who would prefer individual nurture through their pregnancy). You will need to wear loose comfortable clothing and we practise in bare feet. All other equipment is provided.

Classes are run independently by Helena at Prestons Clinic, please book in with her directly on
Telephone 01733 310795 or Email: helena.delpino@ntlworld.com

Classes are payable in 4 week blocks except in late pregnancy and the current cost can be obtained by contacting the teacher.

You are entitled by law to paid time off work to attend classes. Further details can be found on the website of the Department for Business and Regulatory Reform

For advice on approaching your employer please ask Helena or your midwife for help.

Health in Pregnancy Grant
