Wyman Family History
If your surname is WYMAN or your genealogical research has led you to the WYMAN family name you will already be aware that this is not a common surname. This site is based on WYMAN’s and WIMAN’s from Leicestershire, Northamptonshire, Rutland, Cambridgeshire and the Midlands from 17th Century to 20th Century.
Data has been collected from the British Census records from 1841, 1851, 1881,1891, the Free BMD website, Parish Records, 1837 online, Birth Certificates, Marriage Certificates and Death Certificates, Monument inscriptions and Burial Indexes.
In the USA a large WYMAN web site has evolved around a branch of the family originally from Hertfordshire, UK (www.wyman.org). We are not aware of any family links to them.
